Ever host a cocktail party and find all your guests
congregating in the kitchen? Not that you could blame them. After
all, why not go right to the source of good food and drink? At
Tante Marie’s the kitchen is the party. Every Friday and
Saturday night, Tante Marie’s clears its counters for its
fabulous “Party Classes.”
Here’s how it works. Gather 20 to 30 friends
or colleagues and enjoy your own private cooking party. While
you’ll be doing your share of slicing and dicing, the primary
objective is a good time. Arrive at 6:30 pm and settle into a
snack with perhaps a glass of pinot noir or chilled chardonnay.
Once you’re nice and relaxed, your instructor will brief
you on the evening’s menu—one especially designed
for your group. Then, the fun begins: tie on an apron, gather
your ingredients, and get cooking. At about 8:30 pm, once you’re
done sauteing and pureeing, you’ll sit down to a sumptuous
three-course meal. After savoring the last bite of dessert, the
party ends around 10:30 pm, with students taking home new recipes
and cooking skills.
A dinner menu might consist of:
Roasted Asparagus with Pecorino Sabayon
Boned Leg of Lamb with Black Olive Tapenade
Artichoke and Potato Gratin
Strawberry-Rhubarb Compote with Lattice
Whether you’re planning a surprise birthday
celebration or a corporate team-building event, our professionally
trained instructors will work with you to guarantee a great time.
The cost for a private cooking party is $150 per person, with
a minimum of $3,000. The fee does not include
the cost of wine which you can bring yourself
or can be ordered for you. We can also arrange valet parking for
you and your guests.
